SF trip - from Montreal to Berkeley University

The first 2 days of the trip.
Our plane arrived to SFO with some delay. That was after sitting (for the entire flight) next to a 2 year-old that never stop crying or kicking me. Probably one of the worst 5 hrs of my life. We made it safely, but not sanely : I had not slept the night before, and could not make it up during the flight.
So, once we got our gear and the rental car, we drove to Redwood city , to our hotel. Ends up that there are 5 hotel named HolidayInn Express on that El Camino Real road, so the first attempt was the wrong one, but 1.6 miles from there was the right one. We checked in, and visited the liquor store for some drinks. Almost deadwalking, I fell asleep at 7pm, woke up briefly at 1am, then back to sleep til 9am.
We to rent the uHaul to bring the installation from Onomy Labs to Berkeley University. That's where we're at now. Installing the gear, and waiting for the second half of the team to arrive : XinWei and Josée-Anne. We'll be working on this thing until next saturday. I'll attemp to keep the interwebs up to date.

See ya,JS

This is Lina. She just learned about the interwebs. Welcome her.

She's still a bit scared of screens. She learns fast. She is the
future, and the past. She travels between countries, timezones and
hearts. She's my L in a Box. She's my Lina.

Ponchos + XBox360 + Project Natal + Cirque du Soleil + PixMob by ESKI = Kinect Launch by Microsoft @ E3 2010

This is all about ESKI's newest and most innovative technology : PixMob .
We make magic !

Quotes  :

"The crowd of a couple of thousand people cheered as everyone’s satin ponchos all started glowing green. And then the word “Kinect” appeared on a screen. That had to be the most unique introduction of a tech product I’ve ever seen. [...] Sadly, I had to turn in my white satin poncho as I exited."

"As we entered the Galen Center, we were handed a white poncho with large padded shoulders.   At first we wondered if we perhaps were at the wrong event and instead had found our way to the set of a new Lady Ga Ga video.   Later in the evening, we would find out that those shoulderpads held magic powers that allowed them to change colors and create an amazing visual display. [...] A note to Sony and Nintendo:  invest in magic light up ponchos FTW!"

"Simultaneously, the white ponchos we wore began to glow green, bathing the arena in verdant light — the color of the Xbox, the color of the millions of dollars in Microsoft’s marketing coffers, a sizable chunk of which clearly went to putting on the most opulent product launch in the history of videogames."

"At the exact same time, the shoulder pads in our ponchos lit up, powered by radio activated LEDs. (These same lights were used several times during the performance, timed to integrate the crowd into the act, an unexpected and impressive sight.)"

"On the eve of the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, Microsoft and Cirque du Soleil hosted an extravaganza complete with 75 performers, a life-sized elephant, a gorilla, and 3,000 audience members clad in futuristic white ponchos."
